Lowen's Minibuses Limited
Driver Training and Qualifications:
All of our drivers have to complete a mandatory CPC training course of 35 hours every 5 years to refresh their skills, in addition to this the drivers have to take part in Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults training aswell as receiving in-house Health and Safety guidance refreshers when necessary.
We perform driving license checks periodically and all driving behaviour is tracked on digital tachographs on board all of our buses.
Our drivers hold Oxfordshire County Council Badges for working on Council education contracts, we are also registered with Northamptonshire County Council for education work and all staff are regularly checked for criminal records via enhanced DBS checks and County Council interviews.
Insurances we hold:
We hold £10,000,000 Public Liability insurance and £5,000,000 Employer Liability insurance, we also hold specialist Hire and Reward Minibus insurance for our fleet.
Booking and Deposits:
Due to the volume of bookings and bus availability, we may ask for a non refundable deposit on booking, you will be issued with a booking confirmation and our terms and conditions at the same time.
Food and Drink:
We do ask that no food and drink is consumed on board our Minibuses, often the bus is going straight onto another job after transporting you, and it is difficult to ensure no mess is made whilst eating travelling along, which leaves the Driver cleaning the bus after their shift. We really appreciate your cooperation with this.
What personal info do we hold?
We hold names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and flight details for the sole purpose of carrying out a minibus job for the client and so that we can invoice you for your job. If we are taking you to an event, we will have details of the start time and location of the event. Without this information, we could not provide you a service.
We only take payment by bank transfer, so we do not process card details or store banking data from you.
The above information is collected from the client either by telephone, email or by the completion of the contact us link on our website or by contacting us via social media (Facebook) where your message will be on the message section of our account.
On our social media account (Facebook) we can only see who may have liked our business or given us a review, however usual privacy settings on your Facebook account prevent us or our clients from seeing anything personal about you beyond that.
How is personal data stored and shared?
There is only one data controller in the business, which is the owner of the business, however the controller has to share some of this data with the driver assigned to your job in order that they can pick you up and take you to your destination. The driver is only provided with a first name, a pick up address, destination address and a contact mobile number and once they have completed the job, the data is deleted from their unencrypted chat link that I use as a means of relaying job details directly to your driver.
The data we hold for you is only stored in one business email account and on my own business iPad and iPhone which is managed by the owner of the business only, invoice names and addresses would be retained on paper copy invoices for the purposes of having to retain accounting paperwork for no more than 6 years, in safe storage boxes, stored within the business office only.. Our business Accountants are the only other party that may see details on an invoice for the purpose of creating our annual Accounts.
I do not directly market to clients who have used me by any means and we would never sell or pass your information or data to any third party. In the event that we are approached for a quote and feel that a business who we may work with would be better placed to assist, we will ask you for your permission before passing your details onto the other business.
